11.28.09

There is no denying that it is the holidays.  With Thanksgiving just past and the "giant month of stuffing ourselves" begins, why not make a resolution a little early (or late) and stick to making a few changes in your normal recipees that are still super yummy and will help you stay on your plan to changing your lifestyle.

Sick of the cranberries laced with enough sugar to put you into a coma for the rest of the evening?

Traditional Cranberry Sauce (No Sugar Added!)
Recipe from The World's Healthiest Foods

1 12oz bag of fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup fresh orange juice
1 tsp minced fresh ginger
1 tsp minced orange zest
1/4 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

Rinse cranberries and add once liquid is boiling. Reduce heat to medium and cook uncovered for about 10 minutes.
Add crushed pineapple and honey. Remove from heat and cool.

Hope you enjoy it!
